Ram Cherala, CTO & Chief Compliance Officer

Ram is responsible for engineering and compliance at WiserCare. In the nearly seven years Ram has been with WiserCare he has focused on ensuring the decision making platform is scalable, compliant, secure and has the necessary features to support WiserCare’s growing customer needs. Ram has assembled a solid engineering team which has built a fully functional and flexible shared decision making platform and applications which are very intuitive and easy to use. Under his leadership the engineering team has built the platform accelerating development of modules from several months to just a few weeks.

Ram came to WiserCare from Predixion Software, where he was senior director, with a focus on product development as well as customer and partner experience. At Predixion Ram and his team created the Solution Accelerator which significantly helped speed up delivery of predictive solutions to customers.

Prior to Predixion, Cherala served almost 22 years in various technical leadership roles at Microsoft Corporation. As director of Shared Engineering Services for Health Solutions Group at Microsoft Corporation, he was responsible for release management, compliance, localization, globalization and documentation to enable release of quality Microsoft Amalga and Microsoft HealthVault products.

Before focusing on healthcare, Cherala developed his skills as a software developer and program manager in the Microsoft Windows group and Developer division releasing various versions of Windows and Visual Studio products. Cherala was the founding member of Microsoft's India Development Center (MSIDC) in Hyderabad, the largest R&D center outside the Redmond headquarters. Cherala lead the development of Services for UNIX, first product from MSIDC within a year of its forming and spent seven years helping grow MSIDC to a strategic development center outside Redmond.

Cherala holds an MS in Computer Science from Oregon State University. He currently resides in the Seattle area with his wife, and their two dogs. While not busy at work, Ram likes to pursue his passion of bird photography, listen to music, play golf, read books and travel around the world.
